Soup, bruschetta and lilies

The soup Jim made with the turkey stock from Thanksgiving (I was remembering a chicken, I guess) was yummy! The carrots and celery from the farmers market were oh, so fresh. I topped it off with flat leaf parsley from my garden.
This is the first bruschetta of the season, made with basil I grew, hydroponic tomatoes and garlic. This is a favorite summer treat of mine, I could eat it every night.
And finally, the lily my daughter-in-law gave me last Mother's Day has bloomed where it was planted and seems to like it there. I surely do. I is right by my front door.

I want a lily just like it. Does it get tall and flop over? Did it have a plant tag with details? Food photos on blogs are starting to equal gardening photos, as far as I'm concerned. Your lunch/dinner looks scrumptious!

It is about 18-24 inches tall. But doesn't fall over. I don't think it had a tag at the time. But, it is prettier this year than when she gave it to me. I don't know where she got it. It was in one of the black, plastic 1/2 gallon containers. I love how "orange" it is! I took pictures of food today. I think it is an illness!

It looks like an Asiatic lilly I had last year, but it didn't come back this year. I loved that deep orange.
